Queen is located on Aetolon Avenue, in the residential area of Agios Andreas, Nicosia. The project brief called for six apartments in a three-storey building: a ground floor apartment, another four apartments, and a penthouse. The vertical circulation separates the apartments, and is set back in order to enable the two wings to remain private from each other. The building is raised on pilotis on one side to provide for parking. This made it possible to place a ground floor apartment on one side with a private garden. The difference in height also permitted the placement of a penthouse with its own roof garden. Planning and aesthetic restrictions played a large part in defining the typology of the building, the rhythm of the facades, and the choice of materials.
