Identity Tower

Nice Day Identity Tower will be a unique landmark in the heart of Nicosia. 
Its design, while deeply rooted in the history, is the continuation of the architectural development of the city over the centuries and represents an exploration of new directions for the built environment of Nicosia.
In contrast to the ubiquitous glass skyscrapers in most cities, Nice Day Identity Tower is a compact and simple pierced monolithic volume consisting of repeated rows of arches which provide the architectural, aesthetic and structural solution of this tall building in one entity. These coloured concrete arches can be seen as both the armour of the building, giving it strength, and a protective veil between outside and inside spaces.   
The position of the concrete arches on the perimeter of the building allows for great flexibility in the design of the individual apartments on each floor with full height glazing opening onto large transitional covered outdoor spaces offering extensive views of the surrounding city and distant mountain ranges.
Nice Day Identity Tower consists of apartments arranged over 21 floors. 13 typical floors are configured with two apartments per floor: one two-bedroom unit and one three-bedroom unit. Levels 2 and 3 contain 8 one-bedroom apartments while 4 larger floor-through apartments, including the spectacular three storey penthouse, are located on the higher levels. 
There is a spacious entrance to the apartments on the ground floor of the building and the remainder of this level together with a mezzanine floor is for commercial use. On level 1 there will be a gym for the use of the residents and parking is provided in four basement levels. 
At street level the building meets the street with a series of concrete arches that create a covered colonnade to enhance the experience of residents and passers-by alike.
